Remember after Barack Obama was elected President how we had entered a “post racial” period? Yeah, neither do I, but the concept was floated as proof we had gotten past the racial barriers we erected over the centuries.

Then, Obama started doing shit, and the “post racial” period was over.

Granted, I would argue we never started it, mainly because of fuckheads making everything about race. This week we got another stark reminder of this when Representative Jen Kiggans appeared on a conservative talk radio show where the host told House Minority Leader Hakeem “Not-So-Great-Value Obama” Jeffries to “get your cotton-picking hands off of Virginia.

Now, the Left responded to this statement with the same kind of restraint and intellectual honesty we’ve come to know from them by…blaming Kiggans for making the statement (which she didn’t) and not disagreeing with the host on the spot. The reason for this is they’re fucking assholes, but the reason they gave was the term “cotton-picking” was racially coded, referring to slavery.

Hoo boy. There ain’t enough booze in the world to make that make sense, but at least we can drill down on the racially coded bit.

What it really means – a bullshit term to create racism where it doesn’t exist

As we’ve seen with the recent SPLC drama, the Left have a victimization fetish. And also as we’ve seen with the recent SPLC drama, they aren’t above inventing victims to advance their political and ideological needs. After all, you can’t really sell people on the idea of a racist system if nobody’s being racists, right?

That’s where racial coding comes into play. If you can convince enough people the phrases we use are somehow related to racism, you change the language and the culture. One day you could be talking about a xylophone and you suddenly become a Klansman because someone pulled the racial coding card on you.

By the way, Leftists, that isn’t a suggestion.

The point is with enough mental gymnastics to rival Nadia Comaneci you can make any turn of a phrase racially coded. That, and a lot of bullshit.

The first example I can think of (mainly because I have fewer hobbies than an Amish ham radio operator) is a gentleman who used the word “niggardly” while working as an aide to then-Washington DC Mayor Anthony Williams. Enough people got outraged over the use of this obscure word because it sounded a lot like another word that will get your ass kicked in some DC neighborhoods, and this man resigned.

And here’s the kicker: he wasn’t being racist. He could have chosen a different word to convey the same idea, but in context, it was used correctly. But because of the aforementioned word that will get your ass kicked in some DC neighborhoods, context didn’t matter. All that mattered was he was painted as a racist and that people got outraged over it for no reason.

That brings us to the cotton-picking “cotton-picking” controversy. Yes, blacks did pick cotton in the South before, during, and after the Civil War, and it wasn’t easy. Nor was it humane because slavery. You know who else picked cotton?

Poor whites.

Wait a minute…wouldn’t that fact destroy the entire “cotton-picking is racist” narrative? Why, yes. Yes it would. Or at least it should, but the Leftists won’t let it go for the same reason they latched onto “niggardly” as racist: context doesn’t help them whip up a hate mob.

And that’s what we’re seeing now. Not only are the media mischaracterizing the situation to make Kiggans look like she agreed with the racist undertones and not the idea that Jeffries should not get involved in redistricting efforts, but they’ve amplified the stupidity of the aforementioned Jeffries by letting him play the victim.

So, any day ending in, well, “day” really.

The late Rush Limbaugh loved to remind people “words mean things.” You may not have liked his politics, but only a fool would disagree at this point (which may be why Leftists are acting the way they are, but that’s not important right now). To turn an antiquated phrase like “cotton-picking” into a racist statement and grounds for resignation is the height of bullshit, yet completely expected in today’s political environment.

But before Leftists can take a victory lap over this, let me remind them your side supports a man with a literal Nazi tattoo on his chest, and you’re completely willing to let that shit slide, but a Representative who didn’t utter a phrase you’ve turned into a racist dog whistle? That’s just too damn far.

Take a seat. Preferably far away from the rest of thinking society.

The way to address this isn’t to cower in fear of being called a racist for defending Kiggans, but to point out the facts and context. Besides, at this point, the Left is going to call you racist merely for not voting like they do, so it’s not like they’re coming up with anything salacious. Drop a truth nuke on their heads and walk away. If people are so fucking stupid as to deny the truth, you don’t need to be around them or their name-calling.

The concept of anything being racially coded is so asinine it reflects more poorly on the ones who call it out than it does to the ones using the language these dumbasses call racially coded. These people need to be ignored, not only because you’ll never convince them you’re not racist, but because it annoys the shit out of them. Just remember these are the same people who hear racist dog whistles everywhere.

And since dogs are the only ones who can hear dog whistles…well, I think you know where this is going.

Leftist Lexicon Word of the Week

Another week, another series of Ls for the Left, this time on the electoral side of things. The US Supreme Court struck down a Louisiana attempt to redistrict on the basis of race by a 6-3 margin. One of the key parts of this decision revolved around the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which in part prohibits racial discrimination in voting. What the case in question (Louisiana v. Callais for those of you playing along at home) did was bring to light the use of the Voting Rights Act to carve out racially-specific districts.

The Left, being the mature and thoughtful people they be, took to the airwaves to lay out a cogent and well-reasoned response.

Nah, I’m bullshitting you. They lost their ever-loving minds.

So, what’s all the hubbub, bub, over the ruling? I’m glad you asked, otherwise I would have had to pull something out of my ass to write about this week. You know, like I do every week.

Voting Rights Act

What the Left thinks it means – an important law that’s been gutted by the Trump Supreme Court

What it really means – a law that had noble beginnings, but got warped by the Left

To put it mildly, America has been pretty shitty towards blacks over the years. And by years, I mean centuries. Even during the more progressive 1960s, we still had to overcome societal biases and realize blacks were equal to whites and should be treated as such.

Enter Lyndon B. Johnson and the Voting Rights Act. With the President’s signature, many voting rules/laws that were around since the end of the Civil War, such as literacy tests and poll taxes, designed to prevent blacks from voting. And, unlike most laws getting passed today, it actually worked. Blacks started voting in droves, becoming an important voting bloc to this day.

Where this shitshow goes off the rails is in the application of the law, namely Section 2. You know how some states have gerrymandered districts that look like a meth head drew them on an Etch-A-Sketch? Thank the Left for that. In the 1990s, Democrats had the brilliant idea that only blacks should represent blacks in Congress. And by brilliant, I mean fucking stupid and racist. Then again, these are Democrats we’re talking about here, so being stupid and racist is kinda their brand. Just ask the SPLC.

Too soon?

Although the racial gerrymandering was permitted for decades, mainly because the Left made it so anything even resembling treating everyone equally racist (yeah, I don’t get it either), there was a tiny problem with it. Namely, the 14th Amendment.

I quote Section 1:

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

There’s a lot to take in, but the Reader’s Digest condensed version is everyone is subject to equal protection under the law, and you’d better have a damn good reason to limit those protections. Although Leftists will disagree, being white isn’t a good enough reason. Neither is any attempt to get more minority representation in the halls of Congress at the expense of equality under the law.

“But what about the institutional racism of the past, you bigot?” Leftists will probably say. And my response is simple: you don’t seem to think very highly of minorities, do you? I mean, it’s not like prominent Democrats have recently tried to make themselves relatable to blacks by suggesting they’re not smart…oh, fuck, they have. To hear assholes like Chuck Schumer, Gavin Newsom, and too many others to count talk, blacks are incapable of doing anything in their own best interests, so white Leftists just have to do things in their best interests.

When it comes to Ilhan Omar and Jasmine Crockett, they might have a point.

Overall, however, blacks aren’t as helpless as the Left believes. I firmly believe America isn’t as racist as the Left wants us to think and Republicans (the most evilest raciest racists that ever racisted evilly) have shown they will vote for candidates who don’t look like them. Just look at the 2025 Virginia Gubernatorial race. Winsome Earle-Sears ran as a Republican and managed to get over 42% of the vote in a losing effort. One doesn’t do that well without at least some whites voting for you.

And who did Democrats vote for? A white woman who makes Edgar Winter look like George Hamilton.

And if you want to go back a little bit further, didn’t we have a black President a couple of times a few years ago? And it’s not like he didn’t get white votes.

So, why do Leftists insist America is too racist to elect blacks without their help? I mean, aside from the fact they’re racist dumbasses. It boils down to the same philosophy the SPLC used: they need there to be racism to justify their efforts. As long as rich white Leftists can convince people the country is one big melting pot of white supremacy, they can keep the votes and money rolling in.

That’s why they freaked out at the Supreme Court decision. They had to confront the fact their racist anti-racism attempts were actually racist racist attempts. And instead of saying, “Maybe we should rethink this whole racism thing,” they let their masks slip and showed they don’t think very much of blacks after all.

Aside from the gross misapplication of the Voting Rights Act, I still think it serves as an important reminder of why we had to pass it in the first place and to never let up in pursuit of racial equality. The USSC ruling doesn’t gut the Voting Rights Act so much as it removes a way for Leftists to skirt the issue while telling people they’re totally fighting for equal rights.

And if we can’t trust the words of people who think Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is a brilliant legal mind, who can you trust?





Leftist Lexicon Word of the Week

I had a piece already written about a lighter subject, but recent events out of Minnesota changed the best-laid plans of mice and bloggers.

When four members of the Minneapolis Police Department detained and eventually killed George Floyd for attempting to pass counterfeit money, it started off a chain of events resulting in property being destroyed, people being injured, and general discord around the world. And, as you might expect, politics got injected into the situation early and often.

Enter Representative Ilhan Omar and the other members of “The Squad.” The Minnesota Congresswoman took to Twitter to help promote donations to ActBlue.com, a Leftist website, under the auspices of racial justice. What is that? I’m glad you asked, otherwise I’m out a topic for the Lexicon.

What the Left thinks it means – getting justice for disenfranchised people of color

What it really means – tilting the scales of justice to favor people of color at the expense of actual justice

There is a reason statues of Lady Justice wear a blindfold; justice is supposed to be blind. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been when it comes to police officers and black criminals. In the former case, sentences tend to be on the light side, while in the latter case, those sentences are harsher. And it’s been going on for far too long.

Hence, the Left’s renewed call for racial justice. This is another term the Left devised that combines a powerful word that appeals to most Americans (justice) and adds a politically-charged modifier (racial) designed to advance an agenda. In this case, the goal is to take any negative feelings about racism and apply it to the judicial system to allow blacks and other minorities a chance to experience what the Left thinks/knows whites have enjoyed for so long.

The scary part is the Left has a point. Blacks and whites do not have equal justice in America, no matter how hard we try to ignore it. And before you start throwing out statistics about what percentage of blacks commit what percentage of crimes, the fact it took days to arrest the officer who choked George Floyd and at least contributed to his death shows how screwed up our justice system is.

Having said that, the Left’s solution isn’t to fix the problems, but screw them up even more by using race as even more of a factor than it already is. Of course, that’s by design. One of the cornerstones of Leftist ideology is to undermine the American legal system and institute a global legal system, an idea most American Presidents have rejected. But, the Left doesn’t give up that easily and has made progress towards their goals. The very fact we have four Representatives on record advocating for racial justice in an attempt to raise funds is proof of how emboldened they feel right now.

By adding race into a court proceeding, it guarantees the results will not be just because it prevents the jury from doing its sworn job. It’s not to try to figure out what race deserves what punishment; it’s to determine guilt or innocence based on the law and the arguments presented by the attorneys involved. Any thought outside of those two elements muddies the waters, making actual justice harder to obtain.

Granted, I’m a white guy and have undoubtedly received preferential treatment because of it, even though I don’t want it. We are supposed to be equal under the law, so I prefer to be treated equally. No, that doesn’t mean I want to be treated as poorly as blacks have. It means I want blacks to be on an even playing field with me. Racial justice doesn’t strive to do that. Instead, it strives to make race a major factor in determining whether I go free if I’m found not guilty or punished more severely if I’m found guilty.

In trying to bring racial justice to fruition, the Left has made justice racist. Good job, I guess?

Meanwhile, we should not be scared to point out the disparities between how blacks and whites are treated. It doesn’t start with looting, violence, and vandalism. It’s starts with a conversation so we can learn from each other and build a stronger relationship as a result. And, yes, that means we white folk are going to have to be willing to listen and accept how blacks have been treated overall, but it will lead to a much greater result, one that will make The Squad’s call for racial justice obsolete.
